𝖳he University of Kashmir will be admitting  scholars to Undergraduate programmes in its  related  sodalities on the base of Common University Entrance Test( CUET) from the current academic session( 2023).   

  After taking a review of the impending admission process through CUET,Vice-Chancellor KU Prof Nilofer Khan said the detailed admission  announcement for  colorful UG programmes will be available on the Kashmir University website from March 6, 2023. 

  She said the CUET is being held by the National Testing Agency( NTA) to  give a single- window  occasion to  scholars to seek admission in any of the universities across the country.  

The admissions will be made on the base of score/ merit  attained in the CUET and the  scholars desirous of seeking admission in the varsity’s  related  sodalities have been advised to register themselves with the NTA as per the instructions. 

 𝖢ampaigners having passed the qualifying examination( 10 2) with  needed eligibility as shown against each programme are eligible to apply. Also, the  campaigners whose 10 2 examination is  listed during March- April 2023 are also eligible to apply with the rider that they shall be granted admission only after acquiring the  needful eligibility.

 As per the NTA  announcement, the CUET will be a Computer Grounded Test( CBT). 

The last date for online submission of  operation forms is 12 March 2023( till 9 pm), while the last date for successful  sale of  figure through Credit/ disbenefit/ NET- Banking/ UPI is also 12 March 2023( till 1150 pm). The correction in particulars can be made from 15- 18 March 2023( till11.50 pm) and the  advertisement date for the City of Examination is 30 April 2023. 

 The admit cards can be downloaded from the NTA website in the alternate week of May 2023 and the date of examination is 21st May 2023 onwards.

 Srinagar Stalking Incident Now RTO Kashmir Suspends Registration Mark of Two- wheeler Used in Commission of Offence  

 Srinagar, Mar 5( GNS)   

Hours after Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested a brace for allegedly stalking and  bogarting a girl in Srinagar, Regional Transport Officer has ordered for immediate  suspense of the Registration Mark of the two- wheeler used in the commission of the offence.    ” In view of the complaints on social media and other  vindicated reports and also in view of the fact that an FIR number35/2023, Dated05-03-2023 under Section 341, 506, 509, 294, 354D of IPC has been registered in the Police Station Ram Munshi Bagh Srinagar, I’m of the considered opinion that Motor Cycle Without Gear( MCWOG) bearing Registration Mark JK01AG- 5814( possessed byMr. Peerzada Sajad Arif son of Haji Shareef-u-Din,  occupant of Kwajapora, Srinagar) has been used in commission of the cognizable offence and an act which is likely to beget nuisance and  peril to the public and has,  thus, failed to misbehave with the conditions of the Motor Vehicle Act, 1988 and the Rules made there under”, reads an order, a  dupe of which lies with GNS.  

 𝖳hus, in exercise of the powers vested in me under Section 53 of Motor Vehicle Act, 1988, the Registration Mark JK01AG- 5814 is, hereby, suspended with immediate effect”, the order further reads.

  The Police in a statement issued  before, maintained, “ On4-03-2023, a girl was stalked and  wearied by two boys, riding a scooty. The boys had made lewd gestures and  commentary against the girl. The girl had posted about the incident on her social media  regard and  latterly also approached police post Nehru Park with a written  operation. 

On damage of the complaint, an FIR was lodged under applicable sections of the law in Ram Munshi Bagh Police Station against the  indicted boys.

The  indicted brace was arrested on Sunday and the two- wheeler used by them in the commission of crime also seized by a police  platoon.( GNS)
