JKBOSE Class 10th, 11th, 12th date sheet and 10th previous year papers
The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) Saturday issued the tentative schedule for annual regular exams for classes 10, 11 and 12. Students can check the schedule at the official
website — jkbose.nic.in.
In soft zone areas, the exams for class 10 will begin from March 9; for class 11, the exam will begin from March 6; for class 12, the exams will begin from March 4. In hard zone areas, the exams will commence from March 11 for class 10, March 10 for class 11 and March 8 for class 12.
Last year, the JKBOSE class 12 results were declared on February 9 for the Kashmir division and the results for the Jammu division were announced on June 30. In the Jammu division, the board recorded an overall pass percentage of 70 per cent where girls have outshone boys this time, scoring the highest in all streams. As many as 75 per cent students got distinctions, and 60 per cent secured first division.
In 2022, class 10 results for the Kashmir division were declared on September 14, while for the Jammu division, they were declared on July 14. For Kargil division, the results were announced on March 5 for classes 10 and 12.
Board Exams 2023 Live Updates: Board Exams 2023 will begin in February 2023 and will end in April 2023 for most of the boards. The datesheet for various boards have already been released including RBSE, UPMSP, BSEH, CBSE and others. Some boards namely, JAC, WBCHSE, PSEB, Karnataka among others have not released the Class 10, 12 time table yet.
Students of the boards whose datesheet have not been released are anxious as when the Board will release the exam dates. The exam dates will be available to candidates on the official website of respective Boards.
RBSE has recently released the Board exam datesheet. The Class 10 board examination across the state will begin on March 16, 2023 and will end on April 11, 2023 and Class 12 board exams will be conducted from March 9 to April 12, 2023. The exams for class 10th, 11th and 12th will start from 4 March and the date sheet will be issued 15 days prior to the exams, said Joint Secretary Administration, Aijaz Ahmad Hakak.
As the subject-wise date-sheet will be released in this month, he said that the arrangements for the exam are in place.
“The date-sheet is being finalized. The arrangements will also be made,” he said.
To streamline the academic calendar in J&K and Ladakh with the rest of the country, last year the administration of Jammu and Kashmir announced a uniform academic calendar, wherein the annual examination will be held in the month of March- April instead of October-November.
This is the first time the students of Jammu and Kashmir will be taking exams in the month of March-April.
Earlier, the order in this regard had been issued by Principal Secretary to the Government School Education Department, Alok Kumar and follows recommendations of a committee formed for the purpose.
On 30th April last year, the committee for implementation of Uniform Academic Calendar was constituted for both the Divisions of Jammu and Kashmir in sync with the Higher Education Department and the rest of the country.
The committee said that the theory examination in Jammu and Kashmir be conducted from 1st week of March as per the present academic calendar of Jammu Summer Zone (except in difficult areas of Jammu region) and some areas of Kashmir region.
The committee also said that the examination in these difficult areas shall be delayed and held from 2nd week of April as per the calendar proposed when these areas are fully accessible and the delivery of the examination stationary and confidential material is ensured.
