JEE Main 2023 Toppers: 20 Candidates Scored 100 Percentile
JEE Main Toppers 2023: This year a total of 20 candidates scored 100 percentile or 100 NTA score in the Joint Entrance Examination – Main (JEE-Main) 2023 January session. The 20 toppers include 14 from general category, four from the OBC category and one each from gen-EWS and SC category.
JEE Main 2023 Toppers: 20 Candidates Scored 100 Percentile
NEW DELHI: Announcing the results in a record five days, a total of 20 candidates scored 100 percentile or 100 NTA score in the Joint Entrance Examination – Main (JEE-Main) 2023 January session which concluded on February 1, 2023. The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the results on Monday night. There are no female candidates in the top 20 this year. The female topper is Meesala Pranathi Sreeja with 99.997259 NTA score. In JEE (Mains) 2022 overall 24 candidates, including two females, scored 100 percentile. In the first session there were 14 toppers with 100 percentile of which one was a female candidate. The next session of JEE (Main) 2023 will be conducted in April.
The 20 toppers includeincludee 14 from general category, four from the OBC category and one each from gen-EWS and SC category. While Md Sahil Akhtar is the PwD topper with 99.9848042 NTA score, the SC topper is Deshank Pratap Singh with 100 NTA score and ST topper is Dheeravath Thanuj with 99.99041.

The candidates who scored 100 NTA scores are Abhineet Majety, Amogh Jalan, Apurva Samota, Ashik Stenny, Bikkina Abhinav Chowdary, Deshank Pratap Singh, Dhruv Sanjay Jain, Dnyanesh Hemendra Shinde, Duggineni Venkata Yugesh, Gulshan Kumar, Guthikonda Abhiram, Kaushal Vijayvergiya, Krish Gupta, Mayank Son, N K Vishwaajith, Nipun Goel, Rishi Kalra, Soham Das, Suthar Harshul Sanjaybhai and Vavilala Chidvilas Reddy.
According to a senior ministry official, “Post-pandemic, in order to bring back the academic calendar to its schedule, the ministry has announced the undergraduate entrance calendar for 2023 well in advance in December 2022 and towards the same effort the results are also being announced in a record five days.”

NTA score is not the same as the percentage of marks obtained. The percentiles or NTA scores are normalised across multisession papers and are based on the relative performance of all those who appeared for the examination in one session. The ranks of the candidates are released taking into consideration the best of the two NTA scores in accordance with the policy already in place. Paper 1 is for admission to BTech/ BE programmes in IITs, NITs and centrally-funded technical institutions (CFTIs).
